POST-PRODUCTION : Editing

The editing part seemed to be the toughest as there was loads of footage to choose from. I had a total of almost 35 minutes of footage that I had to chop down into almost 4 minutes.
So instead of shoving it all into the software, I first got rid of the clips that were completely unusable. Then I cropped out the best clips from the videos and got rid of the rest. Now that I had a library of usable footage, I just started narrowing down the confirmed footage and made a separate album of it on my iPad. I had transferred all my footage from my phone into the iPad as a larger screen would help edit better, plus its performance in video editing is far better. I used Videoleap to edit my video.

Once all the clips were imported into the software, I had about 7 minutes of footage consisting of multiple clips. I used layering, transitions and slow-motion etc. to make it all fit together into the song, carefully arranging the shots in a chronological manner.
I even made a short into for the music video, inspired by the one in Lana Del Rey's music video "Chemtrails over the Country Club", and even composed the music.
By the end, I had a rough cut. The following are screenshots of the process:

I layered some of the shots over each other to give a
dreamy effect as if it were memories or visions

adjusting contrast and saturation etc. made the colours pop
and brought life to the colour palette of the song

the low FPS shots are a tribute to the great Honk Kong director Wong Kar Wai,
and it really brought character to my performance in the music video
