PRELIMINARY TASK : Chamber Of Reflection

 

We were tasked by our media teacher to shoot a quick video in school which has to have a sad mood to it. Alizeh and I teamed up to shoot the video and asked Alizeh's friend Maha to star in it. We wanted to show Maha as a girl with no friends, who feels lonely in school even when there are students all around her. We composed some shots in a way that depicted her loneliness symbolically, like for example being isolated in the corner of the frame, or being in the centre with nobody around her.

I used Videoleap on my phone for editing

Also, to play around with the visuals, I used a blurring tool on my video editing software to blur out Maha from the shots. That added to the symbolism of her loneliness as it makes her look unimportant and ignored in the video as if she was just a "blur". I edited the clips together to the song "Chamber Of Reflection" by Mac Demarco. Here is the final result:
